Your role
- As part of our Major Projects business, our Project Managers specialise in taking on complex engineering projects and opportunities. With existing relationships with the major stakeholders in the nuclear sector, we offer a hugely stimulating variety of work, within a team which is rapidly developing to support the delivery of New Nuclear Build, Fuel Cycle and Decommissioning projects. Our projects are on a global scale with opportunities across the UK, Europe, and Middle East, across a range of projects in both the Large Civil Nuclear market and the emerging New Nuclear Technologies market.
- Working as a Senior Project Manager your team will rely on your supervision in accordance with our company's procedures and cultures. We are recruiting predominately in London and Bristol locations where you will join a team with a diverse mix of people from all around the world. As we support our clients you will be expected to travel and work from client sites across the UK as the role, project or secondment requires.

About you
In our Nuclear Major Projects team we are looking for enthusiastic, self‑starting individuals who will thrive on being able to adapt and use a combination of best practice project management and exceptional people management skills, to deliver client projects, identify and resolve challenges and deliver solutions.
Typically, the role and responsibilities of an AtkinsRéalis Senior Project Manager will include:
- Leading multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver multi‑million‑pound projects.
- Being accountable for the financial performance of the project with demonstrable experience of change control, risk, schedule and cost management.
- Ability to comprehend technical discussions and respond to enquiries and conversations with senior clients and partners.
Ideally you are:
- Flexible to support the demands of the project and client deadlines.
- Great at communicating with and motivating a dynamic and diverse project team in a delivery environment.
- Thriving on new challenges and keen to learn, whilst also wanting to support others within our multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Able to successfully manage the commercial and quality performance of projects and proactively deploy a range of techniques to control delivery, cost, manage risk and change.
- Competent with a range of PM tools such as Primavera P6, risk and cost tools.
