Overview

The payroll team provides a key role in providing accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services whilst supporting the business, line managers, and employees with a consistently high standard of customer service. The team also drives continuous improvement by reviewing systems, processes and controls, and supporting payroll projects, system enhancements, and legislative changes. Working closely with the People Hub in Bangalore and wider HR teams, the Payroll Advisor will deliver an efficient payroll service to managers and employees.

Alongside Business-as-Usual operations, the role will support payroll projects, system enhancements, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and process improvements, helping to test, document and embed change. An initial focus will be implementing Payrolling of Benefits ahead of legislative changes. Relevant experience in Payrolling of Benefits, Benefits in Kind or employee benefit taxation is advantageous, but training will be provided. The role will support testing, process development, documentation and transition into Business as Usual.

  • Assist with the development, maintenance and review of payroll process documentation and procedural guidance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls, and enhance service delivery.
  • Work within project teams for system developments, statutory changes and periodic business initiatives, providing updates and feedback to the wider payroll team.
  • Ensure that all payroll processes are documented and maintained on an ongoing basis.
  • Use the Payroll Case Management Tool (ServiceNow Pro) to record and maintain accurate records of activities and tasks undertaken.
  • Liaise with HR Services, HR Business Partners and Subject Matter Experts to support the resolution of queries and cases.
