Overview
The Schedule Manager is responsible for leading the planning and scheduling functions for large‑scale infrastructure and rail projects. This role manages a team of Planners/Schedulers and ensures that project schedules are accurately developed, maintained, risk‑assessed, and communicated to internal stakeholders, contractors, and clients. The Schedule Manager supports project controls, construction, commercial, and legal teams by providing schedule analytics, reporting, and forensic schedule analysis in alignment with contractual requirements.
Your role
Leadership & Coordination
Supervise and mentor a team of Planners/Schedulers to effectively develop and manage schedules across multiple active project streams.
Lead schedule coordination, status, and progress meetings while communicating man‑hour status, risks, schedule impacts, and mitigation plans.
Liaise with contractors and site teams to verify progress, review constraints, and implement updates to the integrated project schedule.
Schedule Development & Management
Develop and maintain detailed task and deliverable lists using MIDP and AACC.
Prepare, update, and manage critical path (CPM) schedules, ensuring proper scope mapping to preserve traceability of progress.
Receive weekly Job Cost Summary (JCS) reports, verify accuracy, and process data for schedule updates and earned value analysis.
Prepare regular schedule status reports for client and internal management, including Earned Value KPIs and schedule analytics.
Maintain detailed project schedule records, variance logs, and change traceability to support project controls and change management.
Schedule Risk Analysis
Conduct qualitative and quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis using Monte Carlo methods and Safran Risk to determine and recommend schedule contingencies.
Evaluate schedule performance, trends, and uncertainties to support decision‑making and risk mitigation planning.
Construction Sequencing & Time–Distance Modeling
Develop construction sequence proposals and schedule priorities for rail, track, systems, and associated civil works.
Produce Time–Distance (TILOS) schedules to optimize performance and coordination of field activities.
Impact Assessment & Change Evaluation
Monitor and analyze schedule changes using Primavera P6 and Steelray, determining delay impacts and critical path shifts.
Engage with client representatives to manage schedule changes, avoid delays, and support entitlement for Extensions of Time (EOT).
Claims & Forensic Schedule Analysis
Manage large‑scale schedule‑related claims up to CAD 600 million, including client‑facing and subcontractor‑facing claims.
Perform Forensic Schedule Analysis in accordance with AACE and SCL recommended practices.
Support legal teams in preparing, communicating, negotiating, and settling EOT submissions to achieve fair and timely resolution.

About you
A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering Management or a related engineering field.
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in planning, scheduling, and project controls on major infrastructure or rail projects.
Experience working on Target Cost Price (TCP) contracts of CAD 700 million or greater.
Proven leadership experience supervising 20+ Planners/Schedulers.
Strong practical experience using MIDP and AACC for deliverable and task management.
Demonstrated expertise in Schedule Risk Analysis using Monte Carlo methods and Safean Risk.
Advanced experience developing Time–Distance (TILOS) schedules for rail, track, systems, and major infrastructure works.
High proficiency in Primavera P6 and Steelray for monitoring changes, analyzing delays, and performing impact assessments.
Extensive experience managing major claims up to CAD 600 million, including upstream (client) and downstream (subcontractor) claims.
Strong background performing Forensic Schedule Analysis following AACE and SCL standards and supporting legal teams on EOT matters.
