Overview

The Product Owner within the GTC at AtkinsRéalis will play a pivotal role in delivering the shaping and successful scaling of our digital products, tools and solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can work with their product team to deliver, maintain and improve innovative product solutions that meet the needs of our clients and internal stakeholders.

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring alignment with the product vision and goals. You will write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback, work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product features and enhancements and participate in agile ceremonies. You will make day-to-day decisions about the product, review and accept completed work and continuously refine the backlog based on feedback and changing priorities to ensure the product evolves to meet user needs and business goals

Your role

  • Backlog Management: Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring items are well-defined and aligned with the product vision and goals.
  • User Stories and Requirements: Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring the development team understands the requirements and the value each item brings to the product.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Primary point of contact for the product working closely with stakeholders, including customers, business sponsors, Deployment and Adoption teams and portfolio and product managers, to gather requirements and feedback for the roadmap and strategic decision-making.
  • Decision Making: Make day-to-day decisions about the product, such as clarifying requirements and making trade-offs between scope, time, and resources, while ensuring communication with the product manager and business sponsor.
  • Acceptance Testing: Review and accept completed work during sprint reviews, ensuring it meets the defined acceptance criteria and delivers the expected value.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously refine the backlog based on feedback and changing priorities, ensuring the product evolves to meet user needs and business goals.
  • Product Strategy and Roadmap: Work with the Product Manager to contribute to a product strategy and roadmap for your digital product, aligning with the overall business objectives of AtkinsRéalis.
  • User Experience: Work closely with UI/UX design teams to create intuitive and engaging products that meet user needs.
  • Performance Metrics & Value Tracking: Work with the product team to monitor and analyse team performance, making data driven decisions to optimise outcome.
  • Support and Facilitate agile Ceremonies: Such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, refinements and retrospectives, to ensure effective team collaboration and progress.

About you

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Digital Consultant, preferably within the digital, technology and/or AEC sector.
  • Strong understanding of product management principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of change management within enterprise digital transformation.
  • General understanding of innovative technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders in all business regions.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven experience delivering and scaling successful digital solutions.
  • Ability to lead a team to ensure progress is a constant.
  • Ability to balance different expert opinions and take decisions accordingly.
