Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Compliance Advisor to join our global Compliance Assessment Team. The successful candidate should possess up to four years of relevant experience and will provide authoritative guidance on compliance matters, perform thorough compliance risk assessments and evaluations, support the development and implementation of robust compliance programs, and foster a culture of integrity across the organization. This role also entails assisting in the project management of a small team of compliance specialists by delegating responsibilities and ensuring the timely completion of projects and work streams. Furthermore, the selected individual will have the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the compliance function. A proactive approach is essential for integrating ethical business practices and embedding compliance into the company's daily operations.

Your role

Controls and Assessments

  • Support the assessment and reviews of due diligence on Business Partners.
  • Conduct in-depth research and identify red flags and issues of concern on the company's third parties (suppliers, business partners, clients).
  • Review Gifts & Hospitality requests.
  • Support the business with ad-hoc queries and issues resolution.

Case work allocation

  • Under the Integrity Programme Manager's leadership
  • Supervise team casework and quality control
  • Assign tasks and ensure timely completion
  • Ensure the team meet Key Performance Indicator targets

Integrity Programme Implementation

  • Assist with the implementation and embedding of Integrity Program policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to employees on Integrity Program-related topics, taking into consideration local risk and/or regulatory requirements as they relate to Integrity.
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to address integrity issues and implement best practices.

Stakeholder Management & Thought Leadership

  • Foster and sustain positive relationships with important stakeholders throughout the organisation.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and changes in regulations, helping to enhance compliance initiatives.
  • Show leadership and strategic vision by promoting teamwork and agreement among various departments and regions.

About you

  • A bachelor's degree in law, accounting, or a related discipline.
  • At least three years of experience in compliance, due diligence, risk management, internal audit, or similar fields.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of compliance regulations, industry standards, and new developments.
  • Hands-on experience with compliance risk management systems and tools.
  • Proficient in evaluating complex data and making informed decisions.
  • Advanced MS Office applications skills, including Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead small teams and oversee project execution.
  • Strong leadership skills and aptitude for strategic planning.
  • Outstanding skills in communication, relationship-building, and presenting information.
  • Effective influencing skills.
  • Skilled at fostering collaboration and building consensus across various departments and geographic locations.
  • Solid grasp of business operations and core risk management concepts.
  • Capable of working both independently and within team settings.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Background in a corporate setting, such as law firms or well-established risk consultancy firms.
  • Professional certification in compliance or risk management.
