Principal Geotechnical Engineer

We have a great opportunity in our Bangalore office for an ambitious Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our experienced and dynamic team to help deliver a range of projects primarily in the infrastructure sector (roads, rail, water and commercial / industrial development).
This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leading role as a technical reviewer in the ground engineering input to some of our most challenging projects.
Requirements:
The successful applicant will be a Principal Geotechnical Engineer with a proven technical and project management track record.
Candidates should have:
A minimum of 22+ years industrial experience in a similar organisation
A strong academic background with a relevant degree (ideally MSc/Meng/MTech or equivalent)
Chartered status (C.Eng, P.Eng,P.E, or equivalent)
Proven experience of acting as a Principal Geotechnical Engineer in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment
Highly experienced with geotechnical analysis software like PLAXIS (2D&3D) SLOPE/W, WALLAP, PDISP, VDISP & REPUTE.
Proven Geotechnical design experience
Excellent interpersonal and technical skills and the ability to develop and lead Geotechnical design teams
Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with clients
Good commercial track record in negotiating and running successful jobs
Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work
A willingness to travel on short assignments both to the UK and overseas
Desirable Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering plus master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, P.hD., or equivalent is preferred.
Structural engineering codes and standards experience is preferred.
Strong understanding of Engineering Geology and Geotechnical design and Construction Methods.
Numerical modelling software experience for design of excavations and/or concrete structures is preferred.
Sufficient post-graduation experience, with a significant proportion gained with an engineering design company undertaking the design of Geotechnical or related infrastructure in Soft Ground and Hard Ground.
