Technical Director, Major Project PM

Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

Overview

This is a senior leadership role focused on managing the full lifecycle of major Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects across Hong Kong and the APAC region. It combines technical excellence, team leadership, client engagement, and strategic business development.

Your role

  • Control and management of the whole life cycle of the major project(s)
  • Leading / working within a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians and other professionals to develop engineering designs from concept to detailed design and specifications
  • Liaise with Clients in relation to project progress, decisions and changes to ensure deliverables are met and produced on time and budget
  • Be a team leader to develop and grow the team with project P&L responsibilities
  • Attend design meetings, site meetings and all other project related meetings
  • Responsible for business proposal/tendering and commercial negotiations
  • Seek for business opportunities across APAC regions proactively

About you

  • Degree and post graduate degree in Engineering or any other related disciplines.
  • Professional membership to one or more of the following: MHKIE, MIMechE, MIET, MCIBSE, MICE, MIStructE or equivalent.
  • With at least 15-20 year of relevant work experience with more than 8 years' experience in managing a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to deliver major projects (value HKD50m+) with good quality, within budget and on time in HK / APAC regions.
  • Excellent understanding of HK / APAC construction regulation and legislation.
  • Experience in design, construction supervision and project management and familiar with the government submission procedures.
  • Experience in Industrial plant projects would be an advantage.
  • Strong commercial sense and good people skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skill.

  • Experience in prefabrication, modular MEP systems, or smart-building technology.
