Overview
We are looking for an Electrical Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team for the Isle-Maligne Power Plant Modernization Project. This role reports to the Project Quality Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems and components meet the required quality and safety standards.
Location: This position requires full-time on-site presence at the Alma construction site.
Your Role
Plan and monitor quality assurance activities according to client requirements, project specifications, ITPs, and procedures.
Track, verify, and validate activity compliance with contractors' Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for electrical activities.
Initiate, monitor, review, and validate the content of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Corrective Action Reports (CAR) until closure.
Verify and validate corrections requested in NCRs.
Ensure that inspections and tests of electrical systems and equipment are carried out in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Provide necessary support (technical, procedures, work methods, etc.) to the engineering team and site supervisors to identify and diagnose electrical issues using various testing devices.
Read and interpret electrical diagrams, plans, and specifications.
Review quality documents provided by contractors.
Prepare quality assurance reports and assist in providing information for monthly quality reports.
Collaborate with various project stakeholders on quality-related issues.
Make recommendations regarding quality assurance at the request of the site supervising engineer.
Verify and review installation and maintenance procedures for electrical systems and equipment.
Check NDT test reports, visual inspections, heat treatment reports, and validate compliance of these test reports.
Verify compliance of critical repairs.
Prepare daily quality assurance reports.
Collaborate with electrical engineers and other professionals to discuss inspections and resolve identified issues.

About You
Bachelor's degree or college diploma (DEC) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical inspection, preferably in the hydroelectric sector.
Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Ability to work on a multidisciplinary project and interact with various project stakeholders.
Proficient in French (written and spoken).
