Overview
The HSE Administrator provides essential administrative support to the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) team, ensuring compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and project-specific safety protocols. This role focuses on accurate documentation, data management, and coordination of safety programs.
Your role
In light of this, our TIBC (Transit Integrators BC) project is looking for HSE Administrator to join our growing team. To perform this role successfully, the HSE Administrator will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Manage and maintain HSE documentation, including safety manuals, procedures, reports, and training records, ensuring proper version control and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and submit required documentation to regulatory authorities, clients, and project teams, while monitoring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Coordinate and support audits, ensuring complete and accurate records for internal and external reviews, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Plan, schedule, and track safety training programs, orientations, and certifications, maintaining training matrices to confirm personnel qualifications.
- Collect, record, and analyze safety data, including incidents, near misses, and corrective actions; develop monthly performance reports and dashboards for management review.
- Communicate safety information effectively, including distributing bulletins, meeting minutes, and safety alerts; act as a liaison between the HSE team, project teams, and external authorities.
- Assist in implementing safety programs, support incident and injury management processes, contribute to claims handling and resolution, and provide assistance to Joint Safety Committees.

About you
This position will require analytical thought and insight into complex work and safety procedures. The successful candidate must demonstrate critical thought in situations requiring decisive decisions and actions and will have the following qualifications:
- A minimum of three to five (3-5) years of relevant experience in an administration role.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HSE management software.
- Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and rail safety regulations would be an asset.
- Previous HSE administration experience in rail safety and documentation is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
