We're looking for early‑career Mechanical Engineers with a passion for solving complex engineering problems to join our growing team. Whether you already have experience in pressure systems design or are eager to develop these skills, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical energy‑sector projects while growing your technical capability. As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play an important role across our Power and Energy Solutions business as we drive towards new energy solutions.
As well as delivering what's best for major organisations, you'll be able to point to something that improves thousands of lives every day and say, "I helped make this happen." You'll work on a broad range of projects with plenty of opportunities to deepen your technical expertise and keep yourself challenged.
Your role
You will support and deliver design projects that provide piping and process‑plant solutions for the next generation of energy infrastructure in the UK and internationally. You will also play a key role in the energy transition by supporting the operation, maintenance and enhancement of existing energy assets across a diverse range of clients and technologies.
Your work may involve integrity assessments of existing equipment, design substantiation for system modifications, supporting client outage/turnaround activities, or contributing to low‑carbon and future‑energy projects. This variety gives you the chance to develop a strong foundation in mechanical integrity, pressure systems and plant engineering.
- Producing clear, accurate and concise technical documentation (e.g., design calculations, substantiations, basis‑of‑analysis reports).
- Working with clients—remotely or at their sites—to understand their issues, goals and processes.
- Contributing to analyses of piping systems, pressure vessels or associated mechanical equipment.
- Supporting senior engineers in delivering engineering solutions across conceptual, FEED, detailed design and operational support scopes.
