We are looking for a Lead/Principal Transport Planner (Strategic Modelling) to join our team. This role will be based at our AtkinsRéalis
Your role
- Highly self-motivated and ambitious.
- Adaptable to different cultures and work environments.
- Strong relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues.
- Familiarity with UK/ME regional modelling guidance and approaches.
- Experience with GIS, databases, and analytical/research tools.
- Understanding of the transport industry and policy context.
- Professional membership in a relevant institution.
- Experience in leading small teams and managing project delivery.
- Proven task management capabilities.

About you
- Bachelor's Degree with Master's'in Transport Planning/Transportation Engineering.
- 8–15 years of experience in transport planning software: VISUM, CUBE, EMME, SATURN, DIADEM.
- Strong knowledge of Strategic Modelling techniques and guidance.
- Understanding of the technical transport planning environment.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, especially in MS Excel.
- Programming experience in Python, Power BI, Excel-VBA, R.
- Ability to write high-quality technical reports.
- Capable of working both independently and within a team.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively.
