Overview
This role involves supporting on‑site structural supervision by participating in site visits and technical meetings, reviewing and approving structural/civil submittals, shop drawings, and calculations. The engineer coordinates closely with other disciplines and design teams, resolves site issues, responds to RFIs, and guides the inspection team with technical expertise. Responsibilities also include preparing technical reports, addressing site observations and non‑compliances, and providing innovative, research‑based solutions to design or site clashes.
Your role
- Join the site visit with the project team (During Site Visits only-If required)
- Attending technical meetings with the project team.
- Works independently and as part of a team to complete specific supervision activities assigned.
- Responsible for providing approvals for the contractor's structural technical submittals.
- Collaborates/communicates with other disciplines regarding coordination issues and day-to-day supervision activities
- Provide support to the inspection team to resolve any site activity issues
- Adopts creative and innovative solutions to site problems/clashes and develops appropriate supportive technical documentation/research reports
- Coordinates with the design team regarding specialists' packages approvals by authorities.
- Reviews and approves all contractor structural/civil technical submittals & sub-contractors' shop drawings and calculations (such as reinforcement, scaffolding, precast, waterproofing, etc.
- Supports and guides inspection teams on-site from technical points.
- Replies to RFIs and coordinates with other disciplines and design teams
- Performs technical research and technical reports
- Follow-up with site observations and non-compliances
- Reviews and deals with design calculations, analysis models and BIM models

About you
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B.Sc/B.Eng) in Structural Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of post-graduate experience in UAE-GCC building
- supervision experience. Middle East experience is mandatory.
- Building structural supervision experience
- Experience and knowledge in using international Codes and standards.
- Experience in structural supervision projects
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities
- Experience in using structural software such as AutoCAD, SAP ETABS, and SAFE.
- Basic knowledge of BIM and the REVIT platform
- Knowledge of local authorities' requirements
- Must have Site Supervion experiance
- Must have Structural experiiance
