Reshma has nearly two decades of service under her belt and embarked on her professional journey in 1999, fresh out of engineering school. In her early years, she explored various facets of the industry. 

Her career path meandered through suppliers, contractors, and different consulting firms, where she gained invaluable insights into materials, market dynamics, and on-site activities.

One standout achievement was her contribution to the Trivandrum International Airport project, a remarkable feat for AtkinsRéalis India.

Her journey began in a remote village in South Karnataka, where she walked 22 kilometers each day to pursue her high school education. The challenges she faced in her childhood only fueled her determination to achieve great things in life. 

Upon moving to Bangalore in search of opportunities, Savita's career journey began with humble origins. She ventured into various organizations and her journey that would define her professional life. 

Starting with AutoCAD line work, Savita's dedication to learning and improving shone through, as she not only mastered new software but also became a trainer herself, upskilling over 500 to 600 individuals within the company. 

Savita's love for her work was evident as she continued to thrive in her role, even at the age of 53. Her exceptional rapport with both her own and external teams, especially in the Middle East, became a cornerstone of her success. Her journey wasn't without its challenges; she was once asked to move to a different department, but her expertise was so valued within the Structures Department that she was encouraged to stay.

One of the pivotal moments in Savita's career was the transition from AutoCAD to Building Information Modeling (BIM). Despite the challenges posed by this shift, Savita embraced it as a challenge, and her efforts paid off as she led her team to success on complex projects, including high-rise buildings. Her outstanding commitment to quality and her ability to navigate demanding projects, even during the pandemic, solidified her reputation as a leader.

Amidst her hectic schedule, she found solace in yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. Having mentored over 400 junior professionals, Padmini's legacy extends beyond the buildings she's helped construct. Her nurturing approach towards her peers is a testament to the community that AtkinsRéalis fosters – one built on shared knowledge and collaboration. 

Padmini's journey, however, was not without its challenges. She battled health issues while serving in the demanding environment of the Middle East. Forced to choose between her health and her passion, she made a bold decision. 

AtkinsRéalis team in Canada beckoned with new beginnings, and Padmini embraced the opportunity with open arms. In the maple-leafed land, her role expanded. She transitioned from solely focusing on delivery to participating in bids and even heading the BIM team, showcasing her versatility and adaptability.
