More than 25 years ago, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) was at the forefront of electronic tolling in the New York region by implementing E-ZPass at its six bi-state crossings. With a notable reduction in traffic congestion and improved customer convenience, PANYNJ continues to advance transportation in the region today with a gradual adoption of all-electronic tolling (AET), also known as cashless tolling, on its toll facilities.

Philadelphia Northeast Airport (PNE) is operated by the City of Philadelphia Division of Aviation (DOA). PNE serves as a reliever airport for Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and provides for general aviation, air taxi, corporate, and occasional military use. PNE along with Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is considered a major community asset to Philadelphia connecting businesses and people to the rest of the world.

The Purple Line is a new 16.2-mile, east-west light rail transit line with 21 stations, providing connectivity between Bethesda and New Carrollton across two of Maryland’s fastest growing counties. o improve mobility in the congested Capital Beltway region of Washington D.C. and connect commuters to existing transit, the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA) is constructing the Purple Line, the first direct suburb-to-suburb rail link in the region.

To improve safety and reduce wrong-way driving incidents throughout the Trenton metropolitan region and US 1 corridor along Mercer and Middlesex counties, the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) embarked on the Smart & Connected Corridors – US 1 / Interstate 295 (I-295) Project. The project is New Jersey’s first, large-scale deployment of emerging connected vehicle roadside technology aimed at identifying and correcting wrong-way driving events to achieve the state’s vision of “Driving Towards Zero Deaths.”
