Project Delivery Practice

For the past nine years, AtkinsRéalis has performed the role of Programme Designer for the Asset Management Programme delivering the multi-disciplinary design for over 300 projects with a construction value of over £1bn. The projects include a broad range of new and refurbished infrastructure across the airport including landside road and airside pavement refurbishments through to the upgrade of complex life safety systems within the terminals. Working as part of a large collaborative team, our Project Managers lead the work of our design teams and coordinate our work with a broad range of airport stakeholders and contractors.

EDAROTH is an exciting new part of AtkinsRéalis operating as a developer for the provision of much-needed social housing. Our in-house development management capability, in-house multi-disciplinary design service, high-quality MMC fully designed housing product range and direct control over supply chains set us apart from the competition. PDP has been and continues to be instrumental in supporting the establishment of this new part of the business. With the provision of Programme Management oversight and full Employers Agent services from inception to completion, we manage all facets of the delivery to achieve high-quality outcomes which delight our clients.

Havant Thicket Reservoir is the first major reservoir to be built in the UK for a generation and is intended to secure reliable drinking water supply for the water-deprived area. Atkins were appointed by Portsmouth Water to provide all engineering and environmental design as well as acting as Planning Agent for the successful planning application. PDP again provide management services to ensure the overall successful delivery.

AtkinsRéalis is in an exciting position to design and be involved in the construction of the next generation of nuclear power stations within the United Kingdom. We have already designed most of the civil works at HPC and now look to support construction and Mechanical and Electrical fit-out. Our position as a partner to the client provides lots of fulfilling opportunities either to work as Project Managers to deliver on an AtkinsRéalis Design Project, or secondment into a client organization. These range from delivering a design team on buildings, roads, bridges, networks, sea defences, marine importation facilities, and railways as some of the examples. Or with a secondment into the client organization, you'll be supporting the same deliveries and developing the strategy for the delivery of the overall power station.

Since 2020 AtkinsRéalis has been helping Teesworks to demolish, clear and prepare their 4500-acre site in Cleveland to enable the development of a world-class low-carbon industrial site, which will create 20,000 new jobs and contribute £1 billion to the local economy. PDP’s involvement has included the NEC4 Project Management and Supervision of the extensive demolition works, and the design and construction of new infrastructure including a new 1km long quay to support the offshore wind industry, highway improvements and utilities to serve the new developments.
