Overview

Your role
Lab Floor:
- Work to support all active project groups.
- React to daily issues: re – crane, lift truck, elevator, etc.
- Direct various groups to coordinate lab schedules with outside solution providers (OHS, PROFAC, etc…).
- Housekeeping.
- Direct Network cleaners.
- Provide information, advice and coordination of Work Permit.
- Assist with JSA development for NF functions.
- Coordinate with other contractors (ie: Building Maintenance, Roofing).
- Hazardous Waste organizing and storing.
- Contractor Sponsor.
- Support project groups as lift truck or crane operator.
- Removal of obsolete or unnecessary equipment or test systems as they are identified.
Support Annual Inspections:
- Crane inspection & maintenance.
- Fume hood inspections & maintenance.
- Lift truck inspection & maintenance.
- Fall Arrest equipment inspection & maintenance.
- Pallet truck inspection & maintenance.
- All below the hook lifting equipment inspection & maintenance.
Safety:
- Attend monthly safety meetings.
- Work with OHS on all safety activities.

About you
Diploma from a College of recognized standing or equivalent technical education/experience.
Familiar operating forklifts, cranes etc
1-2 years trade experience including mechanical/electrical technician, HVAC
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to communicate and collaborate with external contractors
