Overview

We are currently looking for a SCADA Engineer with 5-12 years of experience to join our team. As such, you will be involved in a multidisciplinary team in the realization of projects ranging from feasibility studies to detailed design, construction, testing and commissioning support.

Your role
The SCADA Engineer will report to the SCADA Team Lead. She/he will be responsible for developing and integrating SCADA, controllers, and HMI solutions for our clients. The SCADA Engineer is to support the Project Manager with fulfilling the needs of our clients by providing timely, precise, appropriate, and thorough service. Job functions will include:

  • Automation and SCADA designs from conceptual to implementation stage for Transmission, Distribution and Renewables.
  • Assess cybersecurity requirements and provide input to meet Client's cybersecurity policies/processes.
  • Preparation of panel layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Perform design work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code and Client's standards.
  • Programming of automation, HMI, PLC, IEDs, meters, and RTU devices.
  • Perform site visits and commissioning support.
  • Professional on Record (POR) for IFC drawings and associated design packages as required.

About you

  • Must be registered or eligible to register with EGBC.
  • Experience in working with automation/SCADA design within the province of British Columbia is beneficial but is not a requirement.
  • Previous design work experience in T&D'and or generation sector is beneficial but is not a requirement.
  • Familiarity with typical electrical designs for power system, Protection & Control, controllers, communications, networking and IT is an asset.

Additional information

Expected compensation for this role is between $100,200 - $137,700 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
